Frost-Proof Yard Hydrant Style, Self-Draining Backflow Preventer for winter use. This valve self drains when hose is disconnected from valve outlet. This is accomplished when hose is disconnected, by causing a spring loaded plunger to spring forward off the seat, thereby allowing drainage of the valve and yard hydrant outlet. Air is now allowed in the hydrant to allow drainage and freeze protection.

Once the backflow preventer is installed with the factory screws, it cannot be removed. We recommend the #SS20 Stainless Steel Removable Locking Screws. This item allows backflow preventers to be removed for service of the hose bibb, yet remain tamperproof. UPS and ASSE Code Approved.
